How do I get / renew a library card?
Answer
You must be a New Haven resident or a student living in New Haven during the academic year on or off campus, and over the age of 18 in order to sign up for a NHFPL card.
Parents/Guardians may request a card for minors under their care. There are no age restrictions to get a NHFPL card. You can come into any of our locations during business hours to get or renew your card!
If you are not a New Haven resident and would like to have borrowing privileges for our physical items, we can add your hometown library card to our system.
